Abstract:		 A watching brief was carried out during the removal of topsoil and overburden at a site within Billericay. Although a number of evaluations and watching briefs had been undertaken in the area in recent years, little information on the medieval development of the town had been gained. During the watching brief, no archaeological features or deposits were observed. [AIP]
