Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during topsoil stripping. A 15 metre by 10 metre rectangular ditched enclosure with a northeastern entrance was identified immediately southwest of the Dungeness Road, an old-established routeway. A small probably associated rubbish pit was found close to the enclosure, containing significant quantities of 15th - mid-16th century AD pottery together with bone, shell and charcoal. [Au] |
