Abstract: |
The desk-based assessment was undertaken on the land proposed for a major extension to the town of Ivybridge. No archaeological sites or find spots were known within the study area. Although no medieval settlements or buildings were recorded from within the study area, it had been indicated that an area of a medieval field strip lay within part of a medieval agricultural landscape. The present buildings within the small settlements of Upper and Lower Fillam were all of post-medieval date, and one was a Grade II Listed Building. [Au(abr)] |
