Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed a substantial amount of modern damage, possibly a bomb crater, extending back from the street frontage. Towards the west end of the workshop the disturbance cut through archaeological deposits. A small area of undisturbed archaeology was partly excavated revealing and 18th century stone and brick-built drain cutting through late 16th to 18th century garden soils. It was thought likely that archaeological remains could have survived below the offices and areas of truncation. [Au(abr)] |
