Abstract: |
The watching brief was maintained during the demolition of buildings and subsequent groundworks in advance of construction identified a post-medieval stone culvert which replaced a former mill leat serving St Andrew's Mill. One sherd of medieval pottery and six post-medieval sherds were recovered but conditions were unsuited to recognition of archaeological features. No significant archaeological remains were likely to have survived the groundworks of previous development within the site. [Au(adp)] |
