Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the construction of industrial premises. Artefacts previously found in the vicinity ranged from Palaeolithic flints to Roman pottery and a Saxon canoe. Seventy-one pits excavated for column bases were examined. No archaeological deposits were noted, although some useful ecological evidence was recovered. [AIP] |
