Abstract: |
<summary>Two trial-pits were excavated and a geophysical survey undertaken. The resistivity survey produced high anomalies which might represent underlying structures. The trial-pits did not uncover any archaeological structures, although an infant burial, possibly dating to the late Medieval period , was discovered. Large re-deposited limestone blocks which formed part of a modern rubble spread may have originated from priory structures destroyed during recent building activities. The second trench produced quantities of human bone and a sherd of medieval pottery. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
