Abstract:		 Evaluation trenches were excavated on the site of two proposed reservoirs. In the first area, pits of Roman, medieval and post-medieval/modern date were identified. Some of these pits may have been used for clay extraction. A medieval ditch, a post-medieval ditch and undated ditches were also encountered in this area. In the second area, Roman and prehistoric finds were recovered from the ploughed topsoil. Prehistoric ditches, a truncated Roman pit and undated ditches were identified. [Au(abr)]
