Abstract: |
During the course of the investigation no archaeological remains were encountered. The site lay within 300 metres east of the Battle of Sedgemoor. Immediately north-east of the site, a roughly square hollow in the field was noted. This was thought to have been a sand quarry, possibly the source of the sand used to cover the dead from the battle.[Au(abr)] |
