Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken at the site of a new domestic dwelling. The foundation trenches of the structure were monitored during their excavation in order to record any deposits, features and structures associated with the former priory. No deposits or structures associated with the former priory were identified and apparently modern build-ups or dumps lay directly on top of naturally deposited layers. In the bases of the trenches naturally occurring deposits of silt and wind blown sand were encountered. The trenches contained little of obvious archaeological significance. [Au(abr)] |
