Abstract: |
Four trial holes were excavated in the County Bridge as part of an evaluation of the bridge structure. Evidence of an earlier broader parapet was discovered inside the line of the present parapet wall. It was noted that the majority of the structure of the bridge may date from 1771 after one side of the bridge was damaged during a flood. [Au (abr)] |
