Abstract: |
The assessment identified a number of areas of known and potential archaeological significance within the area potentially affected by the proposals. Previous road widening in 1988 removed any archaeological features, deposits or artefacts which may have survived adjacent to the line of the original road. However, in the area of the roundabout, it was possible that more of the flint scatter recorded in this area may be recovered when the works to this area commence.[Au(abr)] |
