Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of groundworks for a security ramp inside a gateway into the forecourt of Buckingham Palace. The area had been occupied by royal gardens and buildings since 1609. Weavers' sheds lay in the forecourt area in the early 17th century. During the evaluation, 18th and 19th century pottery was recovered. [AIP] |
