Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out in advance of a housing development. All five trenches excavated revealed archaeological remains of some kind. An Iron Age feature was the earliest and possibly most significant recorded. Medieval ditches were also noted, along with some deposits. Post-medieval remains were observed across the site and comprised deposits, a possible post hole, pits, ditches and a gully. Early modern material was also identified and consisted of pits, post holes, brick structures and deposits. The full significance of the archaeological remains was declared uncertain at the time of the report. [Au(abr)] |
