Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during groundworks associated with pole replacement and cable trenching for a 11kv line rebuild. Monitoring of the pole replacement lines did not reveal identifiable archaeological deposits or artefacts apart from a sondage near Middleton Wold House. Monitoring of the cable trenches in certain areas of the works revealed undated archaeological features such as pits and linear ditches. No artefacts were recovered throughout this programme of work.
