Abstract:
The site had previously been used as the hotel car park. The former topsoil was identified and contained 19th century pottery. It also contained several residual sherds of medieval pottery including a fragment of south Somerset ware jug dating to the 13th/14th century. An adjoining churchyard wall was also exposed. No other archaeological structures or deposits were located. [Au(abr)]
