Abstract: |
The site of the new clubhouse lay at the southern extent of an area of widespread and significant archaeological activity at Bantham Ham. The main areas of known archaeological activity were situated on the dunes and the valley floor. Radiocarbon dates from the various sites investigated have indicated at least intermittent human activity from the Bronze Age to the 8th century. Construction of the clubhouse may provide definitive information on the southern extent of archaeological deposits. [Au(abr)] |
