Abstract: |
No evidence was found on the site for Romano-British occupation. A pit recorded near the eastern boundary of the site yielded sherds of pottery dating from the 13th to 15th centuries, indicating that there was some activity to the south of the medieval settlement which was centred on what became Queen Street.
