Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried on a single trench at the site. Previous archaeological work had identified that the standing barn had been constructed in a depression, which was dated to the 17th century. Beneath the depression disturbed medieval pottery was encountered. The watching brief supported these finds, suggesting that post-medieval agricultural activity had impacted on a possible medieval occupation site. [Au(adp)] |
