Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the construction of new dwellings on land adjacent to the George Inn, Robertsbridge. The site lay within the historic core of the medieval town of Robertsbridge. Features of 18th-20th century date were identified during the investigation, including pits, post holes and brick structures such as foundations, paving and drains. Some earlier residual finds of 16th-17th date were also present. [Au(abr)] |
