Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the digging of a new sewer trench at Bitterne Manor. Three pits containing Roman pottery were found as well as a number of undatable features. The layers of soil covering these features contained no datable finds. It is likely that they were post-Roman but pre-modern agricultural soils. [Au(abr)] |
