Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during pipe-laying operations in the vicinity of a medieval moated site, a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Archaeological features thought to relate to a bank on the exterior of the moat, and a channel through the bank were identified, as well as a possible earlier soil horizon and later flood deposits. No pre-modern features other than those related to the moat were identified. [Au(abr)] |
