Abstract: |
An excavation and watching brief were carried out as the third phase of a programme of investigation across the area. Pits, ditches, post holes and gullies were located, although some had been previously recorded. Dating evidence suggested that although the principal occupational activity at the site dated to the 11th-14th centuries, activity, mainly in the form of rubbish disposal, may have continued into the 16th century.
