Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment was undertaken in response to a planning application submitted for the erection of a single storey dwelling, terracing and landscaping. The report identified that the site was one of low-moderate archaeological survival. There was a potential for survival of later prehistoric remains based essentially on the evidence of 19th century findings, although Philip's study at Hayes Common, south east of the development site, clearly demonstrated the potential for Bronze Age activity.
