Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in advance of the residential redevelopment of the site. The evaluation consisted of two trenches which both revealed a complex sequence of alluvial deposits. These geologically recent silts, clays, gravels and sands associated with the River Rom overlay 'natural' terrace gravels. No evidence of human activity was revealed prior to the 19th century.
