Abstract: |
A watching brief and excavation of a sondage during works on the site prior to presentation confirmed the findings of past work. The moat was found to be 2.5 to 3 metres deep to the north, and supplied with water from the Thames. Various features from the site's later use were also recorded.[AIP] |
