Abstract: |
Although no archaeological deposits were known from the site itself, and despite basementing disturbing remains down to a depth of 4m, it was still felt that the site had potential for archaeological remains. The surrounding area was of high archaeological potential, a Roman road running in front of the site. Prehistoric, Saxon, medieval and post-medieval remains were a possibility. [AIP] |
