Abstract: |
The site lies within a medieval settlement and is just beyond the probable edge of an important Saxon town, the site of a royal palace and Mint. The evaluation encountered alluvial deposits containing sherds of 13th and 14th century pottery, which were sealed by made-ground which contained finds of 17th to 20th century date. No archaeological features were encountered.[Au(abr)] |
