Abstract: |
The purpose of the surveys was to involve the local community and to build upon data already surveyed. The walkover of the earthworks of Gates Hill Camp was not as detailed as anticipated due to the density of tree cover. The walkover survey did not reveal any additional features within the earthworks of Gates Hill Camp, but a small hollowway to the south of the camp was recorded. The metal detector survey recorded 15 finds, predominantly iron, mostly agricultural and all of post- medieval date. [Au(adp)] |
