Abstract:		 A desk-based assessment was undertaken on the proposed development area. The assessment identified that the site was in close proximity to a Roman road and had potential for occupation archaeology and field system remains as part of the Roman town hinterland. The site remained part of open fields during the medieval period and remained in agricultural use until the late post-medieval period. [Au(adp)]
