Abstract: |
The survey identified that the site of development lay on the former Leeds Central Railway Station and its associated goods yards. A surviving wagon hoist associated with the station survived and was Listed as a Grade II. Prior the development of the station the area appeared to have been part of the parkland belonging to the manor of Leeds in the medieval period. A complex of 'park buildings', a small foundry and Queen Street South also appeared to predate the station. [Au(abr)] |
