Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed that the northern part of the development area contained significant regionally important remains. These remains were generally well preserved and were likely to represent part of a medieval settlement that had been identified through excavation immediately to the north of the development area. A further concentration consisted of possible enclosure and boundary ditches and pits that contained material of Roman date. The remains of the trenches contained linear features which formed part of a medieval or post-medieval field system. No significant remains were found in the southern area. [Au(abr)] |
