Abstract: |
The project was designed to define, in conjunction with English Heritage, the extent of surviving earthworks at the northern extent of the monument. The earthwork represents a Saxon cross-valley dyke of probable 8th century date and comprises a bank with a ditch to its western side. The survey was successfully undertaken. An annotated sketch plan of surviving earthworks was also produced.[AIP]\n\n |
