Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of underpinning trenches associated with the re-development of 72, High Street, Barnet. Natural sandy gravel was observed in the underpinning trenches. Truncating the natural gravel was an 18th century cellared building. In a section to the rear of the site a demolition layer was visible, the layer dated to the 16th or early 17th century. [Au(abr)] |
