Abstract: |
The evaluation trench was largely dominated by a back-filled cellar, which contained no deposits of archaeological significance. It was likely that further cellars existed along the street frontage, limiting the likelihood of surviving archaeological deposits. There was, however, the potential for archaeological deposits to survive to the rear of Union House, in the northern part of the site. It was anticipated that this area would be cleared to provide car-parking spaces, which were likely to have minimal impact upon any such resource. [Au(abr)] |
