Abstract: |
The assessment of land adjacent to the Povington Pit Quarry was undertaken. There were no previously recorded archaeological sites or monuments within the application area. However, the immediate landscape around the site was subjected to a number of archaeological investigations, identifying an extensive Iron Age and Romano-British settlement 200 metres to the east and a possible Romano-British bank and ditch to the south of the proposed site.[Au(abr)] |
