Abstract: |
Given only the partial exposure of subsoil over the site it was impossible to say that no discrete works extended to the north of the Wall Ditch as part of the Roman military corridor, but the watching brief did show that the Wall Ditch did not run beyond the present width of the road and that there certainly no continuous works within the area inspected.
