Abstract: |
A 1.5m x 1.5m evaluation trench was excavated within the proposed development area. Roman demolition debris was encountered at 0.9m below the present ground level. This was sealed by garden soils associated with the use of the area as nursery gardens before the redevelopment of the area and construction of Victoria Road around 1850. [Au(abr)] |
