Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during groundworks at a development site where an Iron Age ditch and an undated gully had been recorded during an evaluation. Early medieval artefacts had been found nearby, and aerial photographs of the area had revealed a ring ditch and an enclosure. During the watching brief, a single flint flake was recovered, and modern features were observed. It was concluded that archaeological deposits in the area were limited in their extent and density.
