Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment incorporating a gradiometer survey was carried out on the site of a proposed development. The assessment identified the presence of prehistoric, Roman, Saxon and medieval archaeology within close proximity of the site. A Scheduled Ancient Monument consisting of late prehistoric and Roman cropmarks was identified extending from the east end of the site. An element of this complex was identified extending into the site. The geophysical survey identified potential archaeological anomalies. [Au(abr)] |
