Abstract: |
Following an application to extract gravel at Henbury plantation a number of evaluations were undertaken. At area A, three trenches were dug and a walk over survey was conducted. The trenches did not reveal anything of archaeological significance. An earthwork bank was noted. It appears on the tithe map and runs south where it joins the Sturminster Marshall parish boundary.
