Abstract: |
Excavation following the location of a concentration of post-holes revealed a probable Anglo-Saxon settlement. This consisted of at least three rectangular post built structures, and seemed to represent an isolated farmstead. Burials were also found of this date as was a Middle Bronze Age pit, which was interpreted as a symbolic burial, away from any settlement. [AIP] |
