Abstract: |
The only site of archaeological interest that lay close to the study area was the Abbey Whitecross Mill, a windmill first mentioned in 1575 and in use until the 19th century. The extent of Roman and Anglian intrusion into the site was unknown although a previous watching brief on the site in 1993 had revealed nothing of archaeological interest. [AIP] |
