Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of service trenches within the grounds of the National Maritime Museum. Early medieval burials had been observed on the site in 1861, and further graves were known in the vicinity. 16th century walls had been recorded in a 1993 evaluation. During the watching brief, post-medieval wall fragments, dumping layers and a possible Tudor robbing cut were revealed. [Au(adp)] |
