Abstract: |
Five archaeological features were reported: a pair of ditches associated with a round barrow, part of the Avenue ditch, a shallow linear feature and an Early Iron Age pit. Few finds were recovered. The only datable finds were limited to Iron Age pottery. Root damage and animal burrowing had affected most of the features; however, a mollusc assemblage showed that the round barrow was constructed in a largely open landscape. [Au(adp)] |
