Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken to inform the planning process in advance of the construction of a new building. A total of six trenches were excavated and although all contained archaeological features no artefactual evidence was recovered from any of the trenches. A series of ditches were observed which ran northeast-southwest, east-west and north-south. These appeared to have been part of a co-axial field system. These features fitted well within the immediate landscape of known linear ditches and enclosures, which were dated to the Iron Age and Romano-British periods. [Au(abr)] |
