Abstract: |
The site under investigation lay near the middle of the medieval village of Stainton. The site was chosen for evaluation because of the possibility that evidence of a medieval property may have survived in the open area which lay close to the church. Whilst no evidence for a structure was revealed during the investigation, a boundary ditch was located which was medieval in date and had been maintained through to the post-medieval period. [AIP] |
