Abstract: |
A single trial trench was opened to the south of No 255, a restored medieval timber-framed house dating to the early 15th century. A flint tool of Mesolithic to Neolithic/early Bronze Age and a Roman coin were recovered as residual finds in medieval deposits. No evidence of a supposed extension to the house was encountered.
