Abstract: |
The assessment identified that the study area immediately bordered two sites listed on the Gloucestershire SMR, comprising St Mary's Church to the north (SMR 8196) and the possible Deserted Medieval Village, Icomb to the south and west (SMR 3911). There was no evidence for activity of prehistoric or Romano-British date within the immediate vicinity of the study area, but there was some potential for Anglo-Saxon or medieval remains relating to the possible Deserted Medieval Village and the church. There was also the potential for the survival of buildings in foundation of pre-19th century date. [Au] |
