The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 A large quantity of finds from the low Palaeolithic period were recovered c.70m to the east of the site. There was also some potential for archaeological evidence from the later prehistoric period. The area of proposed development was near the floodplain of the River Thames and there was much evidence of settlement. Archaeological evidence for activity during the Roman period had also been found within the study area and there was the potential for remains to survive within the area of the proposed development. Very little evidence for early medieval activity had been found. [Au(abr)]
